The sunny jewel of the United States, Miami has always been a hot mixture of a lot of things. It is a retirement heaven, as well as a party central where you can have the best night out you could possibly imagine. People come here to both relax and have fun. Miami seems like a divided place, but it actually functions great, with all its different parts.
Other than being famous for its neon lights and multiple clubs, Miami is also famous for being a great place to go shopping. There are tons of shops, scattered all over the city. You can find anything from vintage to haute couture fashion, sometimes even next to each other. However, there are a few locations that manage to stand out. As a professional fashion stylist in Miami, I have spent a lot of time at the mentioned stores, not only for myself but for my personal shopping clients as well. I have compiled a list of the 10 top shopping boutiques in Miami that I personally feel worthy of singling out from the crowd.
This boutique is known for its modern look and simple design. The store offers only high-end clothing, from famous designers such as Alexander Wang, Balmain, Preen and Unconditional, among many others. The owner, Nevena Borissova, hand-picks the items herself, making sure the customers are offered only the best. The Curve sells a lifestyle, not just fashion.
When it comes to Alchemist, there are three stores in Miami, in three different locations. Each one is specially designed to fit in with the surroundings. Their most popular store is the one on 1111 Lincoln Road, built inside a parking garage.
Alchemist combines architecture with fashion, which certainly brings out its uniqueness. The store has a wide range of offers for both men and women. Anything from shoes to jewellery. Some of the brands that can be found here are Givenchy, Rick Owens, Fool’s Gold, Yeezy and Zaha Hadid.

En Avance can be found in the famous Miami Design District. The place is built in a slick, minimal look, with concrete floors and ceilings. There aren’t many details in the interior, therefore all the attention is focused on fashion. They sell clothes, shoes, accessories, as well as home décor objects. Moreover, they offer things from international designers, from all over the globe. You can find Zimmerman, Smythe, Ellery and Loquet London, at the En Avance store.
Again, a store that boasts with a variety of items. Inside, you can find all types of shoes, clothes and even swimwear. Atrium can proudly stand on the ground, knowing they have one of the largest offers of designers, like Comme des Garçons and Adidas by Raf Simons, if you are looking for something more toned down. In case you prefer a more exclusive brand, you can search for items by Zanotti or McQueen.
The Base Superstore is probably the pioneer of the whole lifestyle trend found among retail stores. They have been up and running for over 20 years, and since the beginning, they have been going through constant changes. Base went from an exclusively women’s store to a superstore, focused on menswear. The place is filled with clothing, books, music, drinks, and accessories. Almost anything can be found inside. Except having some famous brands in store, like Herschel or Knomadik, they have also collaborated with PUMA, among others.
If you are looking for lotions, perfumes, jewellery items or even swimsuits, you can find it all at Babalu. The store is equipped with all the Miami Beach essentials. Moreover, it attracts both tourists and locals. You can find Linda Rodin or Tom Ford here, for example.
This retail store has an offer you cannot refuse. They are equipped with both women’s wear, and children’s wear. Other than selling clothes, they sell shoes and jewellery, too. Some of the designers that can be purchased here are Balmain, Cavalli, Marc Jacobs and Isabel Marant.
The Spanish boutique has arrived in Miami in big style. And, of course, it is located in the super cool Design District. The interior of the store is beautifully done, in a slick and stylish way. Low lighting and wooden floors give it a little sense of extravaganza. You can find a diversified offer here, and even some well chosen pieces with handmade embroidery. All the items are gorgeous and unique. If you are looking for just that, then you’ve arrived to the right place.
